KK Cibona and head coach Ivan Rudež have parted ways by mutual agreement. Under his leadership, Cibona won the Croatian championship in the 2025/26 season, earning a return to the Basketball Champions League after a ten-year absence.
The Club would like to thank Ivan Rudež for his commitment, professionalism and contribution, and wishes him the very best of luck and every success in his future endeavours.
“I would like to take this opportunity to once again sincerely thank Ivan Rudež for his hard work, expertise and tremendous energy, and for everything Cibona achieved during his tenure – achievements that will forever remain part of the Club’s history. This was not an easy decision, but we believe it is the right one for both sides at this point, and we wish Ivan every success in the next chapter of his career,” said Cibona sporting director Marin Rozić.
Until a new head coach is appointed, assistant coaches Neven Nikolić and Andrej Štimac will take charge of the first team.
