Cibona opened the series with a dramatic 74–72 road victory at Krešimir Ćosić Arena. It was a game filled with momentum swings and uncertainty right up until the final second. Zadar responded with a convincing 92–57 win to level the series before claiming an 87–70 victory in Game 3 at Dražen’s Home Arena to take a 2–1 lead. However, the Wolves showed character, toughness, and belief until the very end in Game 4. In front of their home fans, they delivered their performance of the season, securing a 73–67 victory and sending the series back to Zadar, where they will battle for the Croatian championship title in a decisive Game 5.

Team of Ivan Rudež now faces the final 40 minutes of the season. One game remains and with it an opportunity for Cibona to finish the finals series in the best possible way on the road. Ahead of the decisive showdown, the Cibona head coach emphasized the importance of focus, discipline, and togetherness.

“We need to replicate the defensive focus we showed in the previous game, but we also have to do a much better job controlling the defensive boards. A packed arena and the intensity of a Finals Game 5 await us, so motivation certainly won’t be lacking”.

Ahead of the winner-takes-all clash, Jan Palokaj, one of Cibona key players throughout the first four games of the series, shared his thoughts.

“A Finals Game 5 is the best thing sports can offer. There will be plenty of tension, but also a fantastic atmosphere in Zadar. We will be ready. We know what brought us to this point, we know what awaits us there, and we understand how we can create our opportunity. I believe in this group of players and in our coaching staff. We will give everything we have and leave it all on the court. Whether that will be enough, we will find out on Wednesday. One thing is certain: faith, determination, and self-sacrifice will not be lacking. I hope that in the end we will be the team celebrating”.

Cibona supporters traveling to Zadar on Wednesday will have access to a specially designated section on the official ticketing platform reserved for visiting fans. The club asks all Cibona supporters to purchase tickets in the designated area to ensure proper organization and seating arrangements.
