Justin Roberson joins KK Cibona: "I can’t wait to help the team!"

Basketball Club Cibona has officially secured a new addition to its roster. American guard Justin Roberson (32) has signed with the "Wolves" and immediately joined the team. Arriving in Zagreb on Friday, September 5th, via New Orleans and Paris, he was already present at the Dražen Petrović Basketball Hall that same evening to support his teammates during their 89:58 preseason victory over Kvarner.

Extensive European experience

Roberson joins Cibona following a stint in the UAE. Before that, he spent significant time in Russia playing for Samara and Parma Perm. His European journey began in Switzerland with Fribourg. Notably, he has previous ties to Croatian basketball figures: he played under coach Dražen Anzulović in Samara and worked with Cibona’s current assistant coach, Stanišak, during his time in Switzerland.

A simple decision

The veteran guard noted that the decision to join Cibona was straightforward. "It was easy to decide – the coach has been following me for several years, and I’ve known assistant coach Stanišak since the start of my career. A conversation with Dražen Anzulović gave me great insight into Croatian basketball, confirming I made the right choice," Roberson explained.
