Cibona’s cadets have a chance to defend title. Will they succeed?
Tomorrow and on Friday, the final tournament in the cadet competition will take place in Dubrava (Zagreb)

Cibona, the defending champions from last year, will take part in the tournament. Alongside the Cibosi, the participating teams are Cedevita Junior, Split, and Zadar.
The tournament will begin with the semifinals, while the following day will feature the third-place game and the final, before concluding with the medal ceremony and awards presentation.
Cibona’s opponent in the semifinal will be Zadar, and the matchup was previewed by head coach Roko Anzulović.
“First of all, it’s a Final Four, so every team enters with expectations and a certain level of ambition. As for our game against Zadar, we’ve already played them twice. We know what Zadar brings, the quality they have, and how strong they are physically. We saw that both in Zadar and in Zagreb, but we will prepare as best as possible and give our maximum”.
The other semifinal matchup is Split - Cedevita Junior, and Anzulović added:
“Everyone who reaches the Final Four has certain expectations, and that applies to us, Zadar, Split, and Cedevita as well. The first day of the tournament is one game, played for a place in the final. Every team will look for its advantages and try to exploit the weaknesses of the opponent, but first and foremost we focus on ourselves. We are working well and hope to be healthier, give everything we have, and then see what that will be enough for”.
Schedule of the cadet final tournament:
Thursday, May 28 (semifinals): Zadar - Cibona (5:30 P.M.), Split - Cedevita Junior (7:45 P.M.).
Friday, May 29: Third-place game (5:00 P.M.), final (7:15 PM) and medal ceremony (9:00 P.M.)
The games will be broadcast on HKS and ZonaSport TV, while previews and analysis can be followed on the KSZ TV YouTube channel.
