Cibona’s cadets finished as runners-up

In the Croatian cadet championship final Split came out on top and claimed the national title

Match report

At the cadet final tournament, held in Dubrava district (Zagreb), the team coached by Roko Anzulović suffered an 88:72 defeat to Split in the championship game.

The standout performer was Luka Leni Ukić, who scored 31 points while adding 8 rebounds and 5 assists. Igor Stanković also impressed with 30 points. For Cibona, Zdravko Perić scored 24 points, while Ante Garac added 19.

Roko Anzulović, Cibona head coach: I have to congratulate Split, who were the better team today. We started the game well, but that seemed to make us complacent. Defensively, we began losing focus away from the ball against Ukić and Stanković. Once they got into rhythm, it became much more difficult for us. The start of the third quarter was relatively good, but when we cut the deficit to 10 points, we made some mistakes. Considering all the problems we faced, I have no complaints about my players and can only thank them for their effort".
