Mazalin returns to Cibona
Cibona confirm the return of Lovro Mazalin. The Croatian forward will once again wear the blue-and-white jersey after spending the previous three seasons with Zadar

Lovro Mazalin was born on June 28, 1997, in Sisak and stands 205 centimeters tall. Thanks to his versatility, he can cover multiple positions, primarily small forward and power forward, and adapt to various demands on both ends of the court.
After taking his first basketball steps in his hometown, he continued part of his development with Cibona. He then played for Cedevita, Zadar, Spanish club Zaragoza, Spars Sarajevo, Gorica and French side Poitiers. He first returned to Cibona in the 2022/23 season, when he won the Krešimir Ćosić Cup with the club.
He spent the previous three seasons with Zadar, winning the domestic double in the 2023/24 season and the Croatian championship title the following year. He has won the Croatian championship six times in his career and has competed in the EuroLeague, Spain’s Liga Endesa, the French league and numerous seasons of the regional ABA League.
Last season, he was one of Zadar’s most important players. In 23 ABA League games, he averaged 17.2 points, 6.5 rebounds and 2.3 assists, with an efficiency rating of 18.7. His performances also helped Zadar reach the Croatian championship final.
Mazalin brings experience, physicality and the ability to play in different lineups. He is particularly effective attacking the rim, posting up smaller defenders and playing in transition, while also contributing through rebounding and playmaking from the wing. His ability to take responsibility, combined with his knowledge of domestic and regional competitions, should be an important asset for the team in the new season.
We would like to welcome Mazalin to the squad of the reigning Croatian champions and wish him plenty of success in this new chapter of his Cibona story.
Lovro, welcome back under the Tower.
