Mitchell signs with Cibona for the 2026/27 season

Vincent Trevon Mitchell, 25, is a 206-centimeter forward/center who joins Cibona in Zagreb after spending last season with French club JL Bourg.

He began his college career at UMass, where he immediately established himself as one of the conference’s standout young players in the Atlantic 10. In his debut season, he was named Atlantic 10 Rookie of the Year and selected to the All-Atlantic 10 Second Team, before earning First Team honors the following year.

After two seasons at UMass, he went on to play for Texas and West Virginia, before completing his college career at Kentucky. In the 2023/24 season, he appeared in 27 games for the Wildcats, starting 24 of them, and averaged 10.7 points and 7.2 rebounds. He led the team in rebounding while also contributing 71 assists and 26 blocks.

Mitchell began his professional career in the 2024/25 season with Basketball Löwen Braunschweig. In the German Bundesliga, he averaged 9.7 points and 4.6 rebounds per game, while in the FIBA Europe Cup he increased his production to 12.8 points, 6.6 rebounds and 2.2 assists per game, shooting 40 percent from three-point range.

Last season, he wore the jersey of JL Bourg, helping the team win the EuroCup. In the French league, he averaged 9.4 points, 3.4 rebounds and 1.5 assists per game, while shooting 42.3 percent from three-point range.
