Decisive 40 minutes in Dražen's home - Cibona or Dubrava in the semi-finals?
After a narrow defeat in the second leg of the quarter-finals, Cibona hosts Dubrava in the third and decisive match
The best-of-three series is tied at 1-1, and this will already be the sixth meeting between the two teams this season (Dubrava has three wins, while Cibona has two). The winner advances to the semifinals, where Split awaits after sweeping Zabok 2-0 in the series. The other semifinal matchup is Zadar vs Dubrovnik.
After the game, Cibona player Jan Palokaj said: “A third game awaits us, and we all know what it means. With the right defensive approach and maximum focus on their key players, we will try to impose our rhythm, and I believe we can take that final step toward the semifinals”.
Cibona head coach Ivan Rudež added: “We missed the chance to close out the second game in our favor, let our lead slip away, and failed to convert easy points with enough focus. On Tuesday, we have an opportunity to correct that and secure a place in the semifinals. I believe we have enough quality to earn another victory in front of our home crowd”.
