Match report

The visitors got off to a better start and held a narrow 26–25 lead after the first quarter, but the second period proved decisive as KK Cibona completely took control. The Zagreb side won that stretch convincingly, 30–12, and went into halftime with a significant advantage. After that, KK Dubrava were unable to fight their way back into the game, while Cibona comfortably maintained the lead until the final buzzer.

Cibona were led to victory by Vigo Bart with 15 points and four rebounds. Krešimir Radovčić and Justin Roberson each added 14 points, with Radovčić recording three assists and Roberson four. Žan Mark Šiško also delivered an excellent performance, finishing the game with 12 points, eight assists, and four rebounds.

“The first quarterfinal win belongs to us. I think Dubrava are a very difficult team to defend because they have a lot of strong offensive options. They were very active on the offensive boards. We shot the three-pointer really well, although I believe there are still situations we need to defend better, such as one-on-one plays late in the shot clock”, said winning head coach Ivan Rudež.

“I think we approached this game seriously, unlike the previous two against Dubrava. We really put in the effort, and the result reflected that. Another game awaits us, and we need to keep the same mentality and approach as if the series were still 0–0”, added Cibona captain Krešimir Radovčić.

For Dubrava, the standout performers were John Wright and Lovro Gnjidić, who both scored 20 points. Gnjidić also contributed four assists and five rebounds.
