SuperSport Premier League: Cibona overcame Dubrava with a second-half turnaround
In the Zagreb match of the 2nd round of the SuperSport Premier League, Cibona celebrated against the hosts 88:75 in front of a packed Dubrava hall

A better start to the game for the Wolves, who after six minutes led 20:4. Then Dubrava responded and by the end of the first quarter had made a 12:0 run to close the gap.
With two consecutive three-pointers from Luka Babić, Tihomir Bujan’s team started playing better and already midway through the second quarter, after a three-pointer by John Wright, they took their first lead at 32:31.
At halftime, Cibona had a 44:42 advantage, and head coach Ivan Rudež started the second half with Justin Roberson, who helped push the Wolves to a 51:42 lead (+9). Dubrava was no longer able to seriously threaten Cibona’s advantage, which grew to +13 (64:51) after a three-pointer by Luka Skorić at the end of the third quarter, and in the closing stages of the game, after a three-pointer by Vigo Bart, the lead reached its biggest margin of +16 (83:67).
“We had a good opening and this is the first time we’ve started a game like that, which makes me satisfied. Then came a period of turnovers and lack of focus, which Dubrava punished and got hot offensively. I congratulate them on that and their fighting spirit; it was an uncertain first half. We planned to play without Roberson, who had a cold, but the game required full commitment and in the end we won”, said Cibona head coach Ivan Rudež.
For Cibona, Krešimir Radovčić scored 16 points with 5 assists, Matej Rudan added 14, and Markus Lončar scored 12 points. John Michael Wright was the standout for Dubrava with 20 points, Luka Babić added 14, while Lovro Gnjidić had 11 points and 6 assists.
