In Zadar seeking a second win to move closer the championship title

Following a successful result and a 74–72 victory in the opening game of the play-off finals, Cibona now faces Zadar in Game 2, where it has the opportunity to secure its third consecutive win against the Dalmatian side this season (and it's second straight victory in this best-of-five series).

This will already be the fifth meeting between the two teams this season, with each side having won twice so far, meaning one of them will claim a third victory.

"The first game provided plenty of excitement. There were stretches of quality basketball from both teams. I think we managed to match Zadar’s energy despite the fact that they had more time to prepare for us, while we came straight from a demanding Game 3 against Split in the semifinals, which took a lot out of us. We showed freshness and composure when it mattered most. That game is behind us now and our focus is fully on the second one. What I have noticed, however, is the media narrative that has begun to focus on the officiating. I hope the referees will not give in to any atmosphere or media pressure. Everything is there for everyone to see, and I believe the purpose of security measures is to ensure that the game passes without incidents. We are not avoiding that discussion, but we are certainly not creating incidents ourselves. Throwing objects at my players and the incident involving security personnel and our players in the tunnel have no place at a sporting event, and I hope we will not see anything like that again. We are looking forward to the game. We know that Zadar is under considerable pressure as the defending champion, and we know how well they can play. We have to be ready to respond to everything they prepare for us, both physically and tactically, as well as technically. I believe in our energy, our hunger, and our determination, and I am confident that we will take the court ready to deliver another strong performance", said Cibona head coach Ivan Rudež.
